You and me standing

Two reduction fired stoneware tiles with the subtle impression of our feet, made to replace broken paving slabs halfway between our homes in London.

Straddling a sense of bodily absence and presence, You and me standing is both a healing act of graffiti and an earthing of our love and our life together in this place.

The two slabs shattered in the kiln and, unfixable, were never installed. Perhaps the clay knew us better than we did.
