The Bread Project

A community installation and social sculpture reestablishing networks of connectivity, care and friendship through the baking and giving of bread in an aging community isolated by the prescribed restrictions of Covid-19.

Over the course of a year I baked two sourdough loaves daily to give to my neighbours. Each recipient nominated the next, phoning ahead and behind, affirming their connection and gratitude even when alone.
