Clock

A bottle is suspended above a porcelain block on a makeshift scaffold. A strip of masking tape used to adjust the position reads “FREDDIE”. The lid is slightly ajar so that a drop gradually forms and falls onto the porcelain below. The drop evaporates before another falls. The porcelain cracks, crumbled, erodes, turns to dust.

Assembled with fragments that somehow allude to a self-portrait, Clock is a record of the erosive accumulation of time, simultaneously making and corroding itself, imperfect, precarious, perpetually suspended between a state of coming into being and un-being.
